For artistry, professionalism and affordability, The Artful Photographer is a wise choice, whatever your budget. If your event is important enough to warrant a photographer, then don't rely on Uncle Harry or on students anxious to build their portfolios by gaining experience at your expense! Remember, it's not the camera that captures the image but the photographer and a trained eye makes all the difference where results are concerned! The Artful Photographer's starting point is your budget! Let her know what you are looking for in terms of coverage and product and what your budget is, and she will give you a quote you can live with. If interested, you can request her current price list for prints and services, and she will email it to you by return. As a rough guideline, here are some typical prices: please note that all pricing is negotiable. Studio portraits:$50 for the first person and $10 extra for each additional person or pet. Studio portrait sessions last 30-45 minutes (longer if there are several people involved or if there are small children or pets); they include multiple poses with changes of clothing, and varied backgrounds. Print or digital image purchase is extra, but The Artful Photographer can design an affordable package for you. Studio portrait sessions are by appointment only, with 50% of the sitting fee payable in advance (non-refundable) to reserve the date; the balance for the sitting fee is due on the day of the shoot. Headshots for individuals for professional purposes start at $150 for the sitting, plus one low res, re-touched digital file suitable for the web; or $175 for the sitting plus one high res, re-touched digital file suitable for either the web or for print purposes. Group discounts are available as are discounts for multiple image orders. A non-refundable booking fee of $50 per person is required at the time of booking, with the balance due on the day of the shoot. Event Photography:$75-200+ per hr, depending upon event and travel time involved. Coverage of small family events in the Chicago area begins at $75 per hour for a minimum of 2 hrs; corporate events start at $200 per hr, with discounted day rates and half day rates. All pricing is negotiable. To secure a date, a non-refundable down payment of 50% must be made at time of booking; the balance is due on the day of the event. Wedding Packages:All prices are negotiable. Please ask if you have a special package in mind. The Artful Photographer is available to photograph traditional and non-traditional weddings as well as commitment ceremonies.You can book her by the hour (minimum of 2 hrs) and purchase prints/digital images separately, or you can purchase a wedding package which includes time + prints or time + digital images.
